Greer's Gossip: 2012 in Review

2012 was definitely one of the best years ever, of course that had a lot to do with welcoming our sweet Audrey into this world. This is a glimpse of what our year looked like:

January:?

We found out we were expecting (well we found out on December 29th, 2011) but most of the world found out in January, including our parents and the rest of our families. We rang in the New Year with Tiffany and Brandon as always and they were some of the first to know our secret. I just couldn't go through New Year's Eve without spilling the beans.I blogged about a whole bunch of nothing, trying to keep from spilling my secret to the world.We had our first doctor's at 8 weeks and got to see our sweet baby and hear her heartbeat for the first time!!

I also found out my college roomie Jami was pregnant as well and was so excited that I would have somebody to compare our pregnancies with!!

February:

I announced to the blog world I was pregnant on Valentine's Day! Ray and I enjoyed a nice, quite Valentine's Day at home, complete with roses and handwritten notes. ;) Joy came for a visit and introduced me to Cici's pizza! Exciting stuff right there! Tiffany and I headed to Nashville for Blissdom!! One of the most exciting times of my year behind Audrey of course, haaha. I am so sad that it doesn't look like we will be making Blissdom 2013 in Dallas. I had such an amazing experience last year and I honestly thought we would be back this year! Boooo!!!?

March:?

We celebrated Casey's birthday and St. Patrick's Day on the 17th by finding out with our family that Baby Greer was indeed a girl!!?

Poor Layla had to have her first major surgery to have a cyst removed!! She recovered nicely though, thank goodness!?

We attended Mark Driscoll's Marriage Conference at Newspring! It was amazing and I am so glad we got to go!!?

April:

Ray turned 30 and celebrated at the Master's with the boys while I was with Mom, Joy, and Miss Lynn at the beach for Spring Break!

We celebrated our 4th anniversary by going to Charlotte for a weekend of shopping!?

My parents came to visit and we started shopping for the nursery by purchasing the furniture!!?

May:

Ray had to travel to Texas for a week with work and I spent the week in Greenville with Casey! We had such a fun time together being roomies for the week!! It ended though with a trip to the ER to check on sweet baby Audrey, thank goodness it was just a scare!

I got my first Mother's Day cards and Ray even gave me a gift card to the spa and Starbucks for my first Mother's Day.?

I had my glucose test and actually loved the juice I had to drink! I passed on the first try, woo hoo! We celebrated Memorial Day with some outlet shopping and grilling at home!

June:?

Brought the end of the school year and my first baby shower at school! Mom and Mrs. Carolyn came up for it and then the very next week after school was out Mom came and spent 10 days with us while Dad was on a business trip in Oregon! We shopped for the nursery and got most of it complete!?

Casey and I also took a last minute trip to Charlotte to see Kenny Chesney! It was a rainy, cloudy night which ended up being a good thing because the temperature dropped and it was perfect. We spent the night and woke up for some shopping fun and lunch at The Cheesecake Factory of course!?

July:

Brought baby showers!! I had two, one hosted by Ray's family and the other in Dillon! They were both wonderful and baby Audrey was definitely showered with lots of great things!

August:?

Our big month!! August started out with a baby shower hosted by my best friends at Brick Street Cafe and then a week spent in Dillon to celebrate my Grandmother's 95th birthday and my Dad's birthday!?

I busied myself by packing for the hospital, making nurse goodies, and making sure Miss Audrey was ready for football season of course.?

I was so excited to make it to our church's night of Worship at the Bi-Lo center 3 days before my due date!!

My due date on the 28th came and went and I was induced on the 30th and couldn't have had a better labor and delivery story! Everything went so smoothly and Miss Audrey made her appearance on August 31st at 12:58 am.?

September:

Most of September was spent at home, adjusting to our new life! It was such a great, low key month. My mom was here for the first 2 weeks and then Audrey and I got adjusted to our new life together. Such sweet memories!!?

October:

Definitely a month of firsts for Miss Audrey, including her first trip to Dillon, her first trip to the beach for a shopping day, her first trip to Greenwood to meet Jami and Paige, her first trip to the pumpkin patch, her first trip to Highlands with Mommy and Daddy, and her first Halloween!! Whew, that was a lot!!?

November:?

Mom and Dad came for a weekend and we took Audrey to see the homecoming floats in Clemson, Audrey spent her first night in her crib, and celebrated her first Thanksgiving in Dillon!?

December:

December was such a fun month celebrating the month of Jesus' birth with our little one. We had a big play date with Jami and Paige, spent a little over a week in Dillon, and just enjoyed Audrey's first Christmas tremendously!!?

I know 2013 with be just as sweet with our precious baby girl!!
